According to online reports, Apple has prohibited its manufacturing partners from collecting biometric data such as fingerprints or facial scans of Apple employees who visit their facilities. The new rules, however, do not apply to workers employed by manufacturers or partners' employees who must continue to submit their scans to enter areas where Apple products are made.
