The two cops are Assistant Police Inspector Riyazuddin Qazi and Assistant Police Inspector Prakash Hoval. Both of them were subordinates of Sachin Vaze.
Two cops, said to be close confidantes of suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze, were transferred from the Crime Intelligence Unit on Tuesday. The two cops are Assistant Police Inspector Riyazuddin Qazi and Assistant Police Inspector Prakash Hoval. Both of them were subordinates of Sachin Vaze. Mumbai Police sources said Riyazuddin Qazi has been transferred to the local arms unit while Prakash Hoval has been transferred to the Malabar Hill police station.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
