Another IAS officer in soup as CPWD engineers allege high handedness, seek action
India Today
CPWD engineers have written to the Housing and Urban Affairs ministers about the alleged misbehaviour by IAS and CEO of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board Niteshwar Kumar.
The CPWD has accused Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha's right hand, IAS Niteshwar Kumar, of misbehaving with engineers. In a letter sent to the Housing and Urban Affairs minister, the CPWD engineers have requested a verbal order to the police to "arrest/detain" the IAS officer and CEO of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB).
This comes amid the latest transfer of Sanjeev Khirwar, the bureaucrat who allegedly cleared a Delhi stadium to walk his dog, to Ladakh due to outrage over his actions. His wife, Rinku Dugga, also a bureaucrat, was transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.
In the letter, the CPWD Engineers Association has urged the Housing and Urban Affairs minister to issue a verbal order to police to "arrest/detain" two government engineers for delay in completion of a project. They said that the two engineers were detained by the police, but were released after 10 hours.
Niteshwar has been accused of abusing local engineers and forcing their "illegal detention". While concluding the letter, the CPWD engineers requested the minister to intervene in the matter and take the necessary actions.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
