Appearing before the Chandiwal Commission on Wednesday, Sachin Vaze said that Anil Deshmukh's personal secretary Sanjeev Palande never demanded any money from him.
Anil Deshmukh's personal secretary Sanjeev Palande never demanded any money from me, Sachin Vaze has told the Chandiwal Commission. Vaze, an 'encounter specialist', was removed from his post as an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) with the Mumbai Police in March of this year.
On Wednesday, Vaze was presented before the single-member commission comprising Justice KU Chandiwal. The commission was set up at the direction of the Maharashtra government to probe allegations of corruption against Deshmukh.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
