
Angry over not returning utensils, 30-year-old man beats friend to death in Kanpur | Video

A 30-year-old man, Ankur, was arrested by Kanpur Police for beating his friend, Balvir, to death with sticks. Balvir had taken some utensils and other items from Ankur's house and had not returned them. The crime was captured on a CCTV camera in the area.
A 30-year-old man was arrested in Kanpur for beating his friend to death with a rod after the latter did not return the utensils he had borrowed. The entire crime was recorded on CCTV cameras present there.
The incident took place in Ramkrishna Nagar under the Nazirabad police station. Upon receiving information about the incident, top officials reached the spot and recovered the dead body of the victim, identified as Balvir. Several teams were made to nab the accused.
According to initial investigations, there was an argument late at night between Balvir and Ankur about something. Ankur, who got enraged, began beating Balvir with sticks till the latter died.

After registering the FIR, police started searching for the accused, identified as 30-year-old Ankur.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, Pramod Kumar, said, “Information was received about the death of a person named Ankur. His body has been taken into possession and sent for post-mortem. A CCTV camera was found and the footage showed a man seen beating the victim with sticks.”
He added that four teams were formed to nab the accused and a case was registered based on the complaint of the family members.
