One man was killed and several others were injured after a private bus carrying 36 passengers overturned on the national highway near Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, on Friday.
One person was killed and several others were injured after a private bus carrying a marriage party, including the groom, overturned on the national highway in Gandepalli Mandal near Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh, on Friday morning.
The bus was heading towards Eluru from Vizianagaram when it met with an accident.
The incident took place at around 4 am on Friday. 36 passengers were on board. The groom’s uncle, Kodanda Ramaiah, succumbed to his injuries.
On receiving the information, a rescue team and Jaggampet police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Rajanagaram GSL Hospital for treatment.
The accident caused a traffic jam. However, with the help of a crane, the bus was removed from the highway.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
