A man was arrested after a video of him assaulting his mother for property in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur went viral.
A man has been arrested after a video of him brutally assaulting his mother in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh went viral.
The incident took place in Brahmanandapuram of Tadepalli in the Guntur district.
Police, after receiving information from neighbours, arrested Sheshu, who was seen harassing and behaving inhumanly with his frail-looking mother allegedly for property.
Years ago, the then Andhra Pradesh government had allotted land to Nagmani's husband, Venkateswara Rao. They worked hard and built the house. The couple has one son and one daughter.
Nagmani’s husband died three years ago, after which her son Sheshu, who was working in another village, moved in with her along with his wife. The joy of her son coming home did not last long for her and he started torturing Nagmani for property.
In the past, the locals rebuked Sheshu but he did not change his behaviour. Finally, locals recorded him assaulting his mother and complained to the ward secretariat staff.
Sheshu was taken into police custody after they provided information to the police.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
