Andhra CM took stock of flood-hit areas in a video conference with the district collectors and reviewed the progress of relief work.
Andhra Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday took stock of the flood affected areas in the state in a video conference with the district collectors and reviewed the progress of relief work undertaken.
The Chief Minister said the floods have impacted nearly 95,000 families and they should receive immediate assistance and instructed the district collectors to monitor the relief work. He instructed the officials to take measures to ensure there is drinking water and electricity for the affected areas at the soonest.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
