After the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze in the Ambani bomb scare case on Saturday night, the Maharashtra state BJP president Chandrakant Patil launched a scathing attack against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. . @officeofUT ?1/4 In a statement, Patil said, “It is extremely shameful that a police officer who was till yesterday strongly defended by the chief minister of our state has today been arrested by the National Investigation Agency in a terror conspiracy case. @officeofUT [official Twitter account of the Office of Uddhav Thackeray], do you even realise that your public statements in favor of a tainted officer has perhaps done irreparable damage to the reputation of our state?[sic]”
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
