UP deputy CM Brajesh Pathak hit out at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav over his “improper behaviour” in the state assembly on Wednesday.
The Uttar Pradesh Assembly witnessed a heated exchange of words on Wednesday between Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav. Reacting to the incident, UP deputy CM Brajesh Pathak hit out at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav over his “improper behaviour”.
“This is only the culture of SP where goons, anti-social elements, mafia, and criminals have existed. The SP chief has shown his improper behaviour, which is not right in the House,” Brajesh Pathak said.
On Wednesday, Keshav Maurya during his speech in the House said that Akhilesh Yadav was "praising" the work done in the state when he was the chief minister.
"If his work was of any good, people would not have cleaned up the SP's mess in the election," the BJP leader said.

Irked by these comments, Akshilesh Yadav hit back at Keshav Maurya and the SP members also stood behind him. Finally, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had to intervene, saying unparliamentary words and threats should not be made part of the proceedings as it would set a wrong precedent.
Brajesh Pathak said, “Deputy CM Keshav Maurya did not made any offensive comment, rather Akhilesh Yadav used inappropriate language. CM Yogi had to intervene and said that MLA should behave in the house and look at their conduct.”
