Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara's experience is priceless, transitions have to happen naturally: Virat Kohli

South Africa vs India: India captain Virat Kohli said that a transition won't be "forced" on the Indian Test middle order and that the experience of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Puajra is crucial in situations like in the second innings of the second Test in which they put up a 111-run partnershi.
India captain Virat Kohli said that the experience that senior middle order batters Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have is "priceless" and a transition won't be imposed on the team. While the pair have been underfire for their inconsistency over the past two years, Pujara and Rahane's quickfire 111-run partnership was crucial to India challenging for a victory in the second Test.
"I can't pinpoint when we will have those conversations," Kohli told reporters on Monday on the eve of the decisive third Test against South Africa when asked about whether it is time for a transition to occur in India's Test middle order.
