An Air India flight with 242 passengers onboard from Kyiv landed in Delhi on Tuesday.
An Air India flight (AI1946) with 242 passengers onboard landed in Delhi from Kyiv on Tuesday evening.
The family members of students and passengers arriving on the flight were seen at the Delhi airport.
The situation in Ukraine is very tense with Russian President Vladimir Putin signing a decree recognising the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine.
Reacting strongly to the announcement, the West countries moved sanctions of varying degree on Russia.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
