Unable to repay the money they had borrowed to gamble in a casino in Goa, two men decided to steal the money from the bank where one of them works.
The incident came to light after the branch manager of Vijay Co-operative Bank’s Kalupur Branch reported theft of Rs 9.75 lakh on December 30. The bank peon Vimal Patel (39) had called the manager and informed him that the lock of the bank shutter was damaged.
