Ahead of Kali Puja, Diwali, special teams and nakas set up in Kolkata to stop entry of illegal crackers

As per reports, special night checkpoints have been set up at 28 different spots to stop the entry of illegal firecrackers into the city.

With Kali Puja and Diwali approaching, special teams and nakas have been set up in Kolkata to stop the entry of illegal crackers into the city. Special night checkpoints have also been put in place at 28 different spots across the city starting from Monday.

Reportedly, two special teams comprising officials of the pollution control board have also been formed to carry out raids at major godowns in the city in two shifts every day.
