
Agra lawyer moves court against Kangana Ranaut, wants sedition case filed

Defending his plea against Kangana Ranaut, lawyer Ramashankar Sharma told India Today that the actor insulted India and the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country.
Agra-based lawyer Ramashankar Sharma moved a local court seeking registration of a sedition case against actor Kangana Ranaut over her comment that what India gained in 1947 was not Independence but ‘bheekh’ (alms).
According to sources, the CJM (chief judicial magistrate) court in Agra sought a report from the New Agra police station in this regard. The court has fixed November 25 as the date for the hearing of the case.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
