A late night meeting of G-23 leaders at the residence of Anand Sharma has sparked buzz that a third candidate may file the nomination for the Congress President poll.
As the battle for Congress President poll intensifies, some G-23 leaders, including Prithiviraj Chavan, Manish Tewari, Bhupinder Hooda held a meeting at the residence of veteran Congress leader Anand Sharma. According to sources, the leaders discussed the whole situation emerging in the run-up to the Congress presidential polls.

The meeting of G-23 leaders, who had written to Sonia Gandhi seeking organisational overhaul and internal polls at all levels, has sparked buzz that they may also enter the fray to contest the Congress presidential poll.
After a meeting with G-23 leaders, Anand Sharma also met Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Jodhpur. On Thursday, Ashok Gehlot also met Sonia Gandhi and apologised for the Rajasthan fiasco, adding that he won't contest the Congress chief poll. Sonia Gandhi also met Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at the latter's residence.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent.
