After 24 yrs, Colaba resident gets back stolen gold worth crores recovered by cops

Colaba resident Arjan Daswani had filed an FIR in 1998 after a gang of robbers had invaded his residence, broke open the safe and took away the gold ornaments amounting to Rs 13 lakh at that time.
A south Mumbai resident recently got back gold worth crores from Colaba police station after 24 years with the Mumbai sessions court passing an order that he cannot sell it now.
The recovered items consist of a gold coin with Queen Victoria's picture, a gold coin with Rani Elizabeth's picture, two gold bracelets, two gold ingots weighing 1300 gms and 200 ml. In 1998, the cost of these gold items amounted to Rs 13 lakh, which had been looted from Colaba resident Arjan Daswani.
