
Afghan nationals refuse to stop protest in Delhi until demands met by UNHCR

Afghan nationals protesting outside the Delhi UNHCR office have refused to budge until their demand for refugee status is met by the global body.
Afghan nationals continue their protest outside the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Delhi for the third day. Their demand: refugee status. Now, they have refused to budge from the site until their demand is met by the UN body. A number of Afghan nationals, including women and children, sat through the night at the site of the protest. Among the protesters, Shafiq Ullha Ahmadzaiy is camping with his two kids -- Hafizulla (3 years), Hasibulla (4 years).
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
