The Kerala HC is likely to give verdict on Dileep's anticipatory bail plea on Monday.
Actor Dileep on Saturday made a submission in the Kerala High Court (HC) to support his anticipatory bail plea alleging that the prosecution only has director Balachandrakumar's statement as proof against him.
The move came in the wake of the HC's verdict on the anticipatory bail plea to be announced this Monday. Dileep is seeking anticipatory bail in a case against him for conspiring to kill the officer investigating the 2017 actor assault case.
Actor Dileep is the eighth accused in the assault case.
The submission further stated that anything counts as a conspiracy only if two or more people plan to conduct an illegal act together. That is not the case here and, therefore, the argument of criminal conspiracy won't stand.
Dileep further denied the claims by the prosecution that he directly threatened the investigation officer in 2017. He also questioned why probe officer Baiju Poulose didn't file a complaint till now.
Director Balachandrakumar on Saturday released another audio clip in connection with Dileep's case.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
