Actor Dileep, his brother, brother-in-law, driver and a friend appeared before the crime branch officials and were questioned for over 11 hours in the actor assault case. Meanwhile, director Rafi was summoned to identify voice clips from recordings handed over by director Balachandrakumar.
Rafi was involved with director Balachandrakumar and Dileep's proposed movie. The interrogation of actor Dileep and others concluded for the second day at the Crime Branch office.
A case was registered against them for allegedly threatening officials probing the sexual assault of an actress in 2017. The actor, his brother, brother-in-law, driver and a friend, appeared before the crime branch officials at 9 am and were questioned for over 11 hours.

The manager and other two employees of Grand productions, owned by Dileep, were also summoned and their statements recorded. Crime Branch sources said there were discrepancies in the statements of the accused.
The Crime Branch had, on January 9, registered the case on a complaint filed by an investigating officer based on a purported audio clip of Dileep, which was released by a TV channel in which the actor was allegedly heard conspiring to attack the official.
