Security forces denied entry to Muslim Rashtriya Manch activists to the disputed Krishna Janmabhoomi-Idgah complex in Mathura.
A 10-member team of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) tried to enter the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Idgah complex in Mathura on Wednesday, May 11. Security personnel stationed at the site prevented the Muslim group activists from entering the complex.
The activists of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, a body affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), had reportedly gone to the complex to analyze the historic importance of the site.
Speaking to India Today, Tushar Kant, leader of MRM team, said that they saw Krishna Janmabhoomi from a distance and expressed the desire to find out about the history of the Idgah, but the security personnel stopped them. He said that the team had gone to Mathura on the directions of the Manch's chief Indresh Kumar.

Rehana Khatun, a member of the MRM team, said, “The Manch appeals to all Muslims that they are Indians first and it becomes the responsibility of the entire Muslim community to preserve the peace and tranquility in the country.”
She said that the disputed site is the birthplace of Lord Krishna and the foreign invaders demolished the temple to build an Idgah.
Asif Jafri, another member of the team, said that it is improper to offer Namaz at a place which does not belong to the Muslims.
