As Congress leader Rahuil Gandhi joined the protest of suspended Rajya Sabha MPs at Parliament House on Tuesday, Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut welcomed him by saying: "Aap aaye bahaar aayi".

A former Congress president, Rahul Gandhi, had walked up to the Gandhi statue in Parliament House to meet 12 Rajya Sabha MPs who have been staging a demonstration for over two weeks against their suspension from the Upper House.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
