95% of election promises in Endowments department fulfilled, says Anam

Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy fulfills promises, distributes unemployment allowance to Vedic scholars, praises Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu.

Minister for Endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy asserted that the NDA Alliance government has fulfilled 95% of the promises made during last year’s general elections related to his Cabinet portfolio.

He made this statement while distributing a ‘Nirudyoga Bhruti’ (unemployment allowance) of ₹3,000 per person to 599 certified Vedic and Agama scholars who have remained unemployed despite their qualifications. This initiative, he explained, is aimed at protecting Sanatana Dharma and encouraging Vedic scholars to continue in temple-related professions.

The honorary allowance, called ‘Sambhavana’, totaling ₹53.91 lakh for January, February, and March 2025, was officially handed over in the form of cheques during the ‘Maha Homam’ held in Atmakur town, SPSR Nellore district, on Sunday. The occasion also marked the 75th birthday of Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu.

The Hindu ritual was performed in a religious manner by bringing holy water from nine rivers and deploying seven ‘Kalasams’ to invoke divine blessings to ensure long life to Mr.Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Ramanarayana Reddy stated that the State required the leadership of Mr.Naidu, who he termed as ‘a visionary par excellence’. He affirmed that the State would benefit from his vast political and administrative experience in view of his prolonged stint at the helm of affairs.

The 8,000 participants at the ‘Maha Homam’ were not only served food and clothes, but also a ‘Tirumala Srivari Laddu’ each. “As a legislator of Atmakur, this is a fulfilling moment for me,” said Mr.Reddy.

Zonal Endowments Officer T.Bapi Reddy, who is also the Executive Officer of Srikalahastheeswara Swamy Devasthanam, was present on the occasion, along with Nellore Urban Development Authority chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy, State Civil Supplies director Vemireddy Pattabhirama Reddy and Assistant Commissioner (Endowments) Janardhan Reddy.
