
6 dead, 16 injured as bus catches fire after colliding with goods vehicle in Karnataka’s Gulbarga

Six people died and 16 others were hospitalised after a bus they were travelling in collided with a goods vehicle in Karntaka’s Gulbarga. The bus fell from a bridge, resulting in a leakage in the fuel tank and the bus catching fire.
A road accident between an AC bus and a goods vehicle resulted in 6 people dying and 16 others being hospitalised. The bus, which was travelling from Goa to Hyderabad, met with an accident in Karnataka’s Gulbarga district.
The bus lost control after colliding with a goods vehicle. It fell from a 50-metre bridge, resulting in a leakage of the fuel tank and the bus catching fire.
A total of 32 passengers were travelling on the bus. As many as 6 people were burnt to death while 16 others were hospitalised. The driver and cleaner of the bus are currently in police custody.
Fire and police department personnel are currently on the spot and recovering the bodies of the deceased.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
