
50 years of 1971 war: Indian Army to be part of multi-nation military exercise in Bangladesh

The Indian Army is set to participate in a military exercise with armies of Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka to mark 50 years of Bangladesh's liberation.
The Indian Army will participate in a military exercise with armies of Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka to mark the birth centenary of Bangladesh’s ‘Father of the Nation’ Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the country’s 50 years of liberation. Military observers from the United States, United Kingdom, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Singapore will also be in attendance throughout the exercise. The joint drills of the neighbouring counties will take place from April 4 to 21.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent.
