A man showed up at a house he was barred from visiting by a court order. Soon witnesses reported seeing a man stabbing people outside the home.
Five people, including the 32-year-old man suspected of being behind the attack, are dead following a stabbing assault in Washington state on Feb. 24, according to local authorities.
A man who had a court order barring him from visiting a home in Pierce County, Washington, was reported at about 8:40 local time showing up to the site, according to the county sheriff’s office. Witnesses soon reported seeing a man stabbing people outside the house; a sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene at about 9:30 a.m. and shots were fired, Deputy Carly Cappetto said in a statement.
Four people, including the suspect, were found dead at the scene, authorities said. A fifth person was taken away by emergency responders and died from their injuries.
It was not immediately clear what relationship there was between the people involved.
