A 40-year-old builder was shot dead in Delhi's Paschim Vihar on Saturday. Meanwhile, the police have filed a case and an investigation is underway.
A 40-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified people in west Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area on Saturday.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Amit Goyal, a Meera Bagh resident. He was killed while walking to the parking lot from his office.
"The accused came in a car and fired at Goyal. He was rushed to Balaji Action Hospital in Paschim Vihar where he was declared brought dead," Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer) Sameer Sharma said.
Goyal was a builder and his office is situated at Vikas Tower in Delhi's Jawala Heri market, the DCP said.
Meanwhile, officers recovered empty cartridges from the scene. Nine teams, including special forces personnel, are working to locate and arrest the accused.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
