
4 Bangladeshis held along Assam-Tripura border for entering India without valid documents

Four Bangladeshi nationals were arrested near the Assam-Tripura border on Saturday for illegally entering India.
Four Bangladesh nationals were apprehended by police in Assam's Karimganj district near the Assam-Tripura border from a Guwahati-bound passenger bus that had entered India without valid documents.
The apprehended Bangladesh nationals were identified as Rakesh Sen, Ashadul Sheikh, Salaullah, and Kaushar Hussain.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
