4 arrested in Mumbai for rape of 16-year-old

On the intervening night of May 31 - June 1, a 16-year-old girl in Mumbai was gang raped at three different locations. The police have arrested four accused, aged between 18 and 23 years, while two men are still at large. On June 1, the girl’s family members went to the police station in Malad West in Mumbai to register a missing complaint. Since she is a minor, the police immediately filed a kidnapping case and initiated a search. Later that afternoon, the girl returned home. She was scared and weak. When her parents asked her what had happened, she did not reveal anything.
