3 students of Patna University injured after gunfight with locals

Three students of Patna University were injured after a gunfight erupted with the locals.
Three students of Patna University were injured by bullet shells on Sunday after a clash erupted with the locals who reside in the area. Police said several rounds of bullets were fired from both sides while the students said they did not indulge in gun firing.
The incident took place between the inmates of the Ambedkar hostel under Patna University and the locals in Sultanganj area. People from both parties sustained injuries.
Two FIRs have been registered on the matter from both sides.

The clash between the two groups started over an argument between the locals and students of Ambedkar hostel. In the ensuing fight, stones were hurled and guns fired.
Three students of the hostel were injured by bullet shells. The three injured were taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manavjit Singh Dhillon said police forces are deployed at the site and are investigating the matter. He said the atmosphere is calm at present.
