More than 26 students were hospitalised after they allegedly suffered from food poisoning at Vardhannapet ST hostel in Warangal district of Telangana.

The students were rushed to Vardhannapet government hospital. The condition of 12 students is said to be critical and they have been moved to MGM hospital for better treatment.
Vardhannapet MLA Aroori Ramesh reached MGM hospital and enquired about the incident. Aroori said a thorough investigation has been ordered into the incident.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
