A woman and her 40-year-old lover were arrested for killing her father and hiding the body in the sewer of the toilet in the latter's house in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur.

The incident came to the fore after Santosh Kumar, a resident of Jaipatti Kalan village falling under the jurisdiction of Jamalpur police station in Mirzapur, went missing.
Santosh Kumar Mishra, superintendent of police, Mirzapur, said, "A team was formed to investigate the case after family members lodged a missing complaint at the police station. Based on the suspicion of the family members, police apprehended one Ravindra Prasad Gaur, a resident of the same village, for questioning."
During interrogation, Gaur (40) confessed to having killed Santosh Kumar and hiding his body in the toilet of his house.
Police said Gaur was in love with Santosh Kumar's daughter Suman, who is half his age. The two regularly spoke over phone.
Santosh Kumar was trying to fix his daughter's marriage with someone else. Police said Suman hatched a conspiracy with Gaur to get rid of her father.
On the fateful day, Gaur first called Santosh Kumar to his house and killed him there at Suman's behest. He hid the body in the sewer of the toilet of his house with the help of his son Gautam Gaur, who has also been arrested for aiding the crime.
