2 Trump-Friendly Podcast Bros Rip DHS ‘Deportation Hype Video’: 'It Was Just A Scary Time'

“I was like, 'Oh my God, what the f**k are they doing?' It's like, that's not how you envision the government. The government made a hype video?" Joe Rogan said.
Podcaster Theo Von opened up to fellow Trump-friendly content creator Joe Rogan about the fears and paranoia he felt after the Department of Homeland Security used him in a propaganda video.
“I just can’t believe they did that with you, where they just put it in there as if, like, you were endorsing that,” a baffled Rogan said on Tuesday’s episode of his show, “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
Von, whose real name is Theodor Capitani von Kurnatowski III, called DHS out in September for using an out-of-context clip of him in a video promoting deportation. In the clip, which DHS used without Von’s permission, he can be heard saying, “I heard you got deported, dude. Bye!”
Von clarified the background of the quote, saying someone approached him around 1-and-a-half years ago with a story about her friend being deported and asked if he had a message for them.
“I didn’t know if it was real or not,” Von explained. “I was just joking around.”
