Two TMC activists were shot dead on their way back from the virtual programme on the occasion of the party's annual martyr's day in North 24 Parganas' Minakhan.
Two TMC activists were shot dead by miscreants on their way back from the virtual meeting on the occasion of the party's annual martyr's day event on Wednesday. The incident took place in Tangramari village of Mohanpur panchayat in the North 24 Parganas district's Minakhan. One of the dead workers was a woman, police said. At least 12 others were injured in the bombings.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
