A powerful explosion caused by an oxygen cylinder blast at a factory in Jaipur's Vishwakarma Industrial Area killed factory manager Vinod Gupta and a worker, Shibu, on Saturday.
At least two people were killed, and one worker was injured in a powerful explosion at a factory in Jaipur on Saturday, police said.
The blast occurred when an oxygen cylinder exploded at a unit located in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area. The impact of the explosion blew off the tin shed of the factory and brought down one of its walls.
Factory manager Vinod Gupta and a worker identified as Shibu died in the incident. Another worker sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment.
In another incident in Karnataka, at least eight people, including six children, were injured in a mysterious explosion in Karnataka’s Bidar district on Saturday.
The incident occurred on the road leading to the Molige Marayya temple, where the injured persons were walking when a sudden explosion allegedly took place, causing panic in the area.
Police rushed to the spot soon after the blast. A crime team and forensic experts are currently inspecting the site to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion.
