Pune district in Maharashtra reported 8,011 new coronavirus cases and 65 deaths on Thursday while the state reported over 43,000 cases. Pune Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao announced on Friday, “A 12-hour night curfew from 6 pm to 6 am in Pune from tomorrow. The situation will be reviewed next Friday.”
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
