
11 private Covid testing labs in Amravati stripped of accreditation by admin

Amrawati district administration has revoked the accreditation of 11 private laboratories conducting Rapid Antigen Tests.
After receiving complaints about bogus testing and non-conformity to the guidelines set by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR); the Amrawati district administration has revoked the accreditation of 11 private laboratories conducting Rapid Antigen Tests. It is learned that the test reports of some private laboratories conducting rapid antigen testing in Amravati district were found to have discrepancies in the investigation hence the District Collector of Amravati revoked the accreditation of these 11 laboratories. These laboratories were not reporting on the ICMR portal on time and some of their reports were found to be fake as well. State public health minister Rajesh Tope has however clarified that no complaints were received on the RT-PCR tests in Akola, Amravati and Washim districts.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
