Delhi Police has arrested four fraudsters and apprehended one juvenile for their involvement in three separate cheating cases. Among the arrested, one accused was wanted by Gujarat Police.

Delhi Police has arrested four fraudsters and apprehended one juvenile for their involvement in three separate cheating cases registered in the national capital, and one being investigated by the Gujarat Police. Among the arrested, one accused was wanted by Gujarat Police.

While two of the arrested accused were involved in duping people on the pretext of providing jobs at leading news channels, the other two accused, including a juvenile, were involved in an online fraud, wherein Rs 3,44,000 was fraudulently transferred from a woman's account.

Police managed to freeze Rs 55,000 and also recovered an iPhone which was purchased from the cheated amount.

In the first case, Delhi Police had received a complaint on July 23, regarding a fraud of Rs 60,000 on the pretext of providing jobs. Accordingly, a case was registered under relevant sections and an investigation was taken up.

During the course of the investigation, technical surveillance was mounted, bank account details were obtained and transaction IPs were also identified, which revealed that the accused were located in Delhi's Seema Puri area. Following this, two accused were arrested by the police.

It was found that the accused used to dupe people on the pretext of providing jobs at leading news channels, procuring money from job seekers in the form of commissions varying from Rs 5,000 to Rs 70,000. The accused were identified as Vishal (27), resident of Dilshad Garden and Arbaz Khan (28), resident of Ghaziabad.

In the second case, a woman had filed a complaint with the police on August 3, alleging that Rs 3,44,001 was fraudulently transferred from her SBI account. Accordingly, a case was registered and an investigation was taken up.
