  曾經一度,有綠豆沙的夏天,才算得上是「風華絕代」。

  上中學時,別家的消暑方式哪怕名目眾多,一眼看去也不過是故作姿態,就像穿金戴銀卻撐不起大場面的少女,真的還不如素面來得驚艷。不信你就看,記得專撿課間,烏泱泱一大班的人,只有帶綠豆湯的那幾個,才能引來最多艷羨的目光。眼皮下是最清湯寡水的湯汁,晃動的綠豆樸實、機靈,不着粉黛也惹人喜愛;周圍那些剛剛還心如止水的同學,現在恨不得撲上去幫你一口氣喝掉,那種急切和求之不得,可全是真情實感。

  綠豆湯,就是有這麼強的魔力。不用包裝外形,全靠實力消暑,一口下去,煩悶全無。最神奇的是,它就像一道精彩的作文命題,只要題目夠好,八股能寫出八股的水平,才子可揮灑出才子的靈氣,但凡用一點點心,哪個作品都不至於「七零八落」。

  說心裏話,我父母廚藝不好,可至少會煮一鍋綠豆湯。提前把豆子泡好,再加冰糖煮上,煮到綠豆開花起沙,水和豆才是高山流水遇知音。是獨立的個體,卻也融合得恰到好處,豆湯清香撲鼻,哪怕吃到最後的豆子,都細膩綿密,回味無窮。後來南下,驚覺綠豆湯是門學問,真的是全國人民都有花式做法,各顯神通。廣式綠豆湯萬變不離「糖水」本質,湯汁濃稠,百合、龜苓膏等配料足足;而蘇州的綠豆湯,精緻到可以自成一派,軟綿的湯底裏,有薄荷的透亮,滿滿一碗鋪上糯米、冬瓜糖、蜜棗、青紅絲,這哪是綠豆湯,說「魔幻現實主義」作品也不為過吧。但這碗湯的妙,喝上就知道了。如果普通的綠豆湯能讓你立時清涼,那蘇式綠豆湯還能在這基礎上再降溫五度。直衝腦門的快意甚至會讓你短暫失憶,夏天是誰?我又在哪裏?
