CBC
Hundreds of Londoners showed up at CBC's annual Make the Season Kind holiday event on Thursday in support of the London Food Bank.
Attendees raised close to $10,000 in donations and more than 150 kg of food for the campaign, which closes on Dec. 31, 2025.
More than 12,600 London households, including 34,000 individuals, have used the food bank. Of those individuals, 40 per cent are children or youth. The London Food Bank also supplies dozens of agencies in the area with ingredients for healthy meals.
In addition to supporting the food bank, attendees spent the night at at St. Paul's Cathedral downtown where they lent their voices to a sing-along with London band The Pairs, heard compelling stories from people in the community and got to know their community.
CBC London asked them to share messages of kindness with each other.
