World Test Championship final: Former India opener Aakash Chopra said India will go further away from getting a favourable result if there are more rain delays in the historic final. Play started on Day 5 after a delay of an hour due to slight drizzle in Southampton.
Former India Aakash Chopra has suggested adding an extra day apart from the one reserve day, if needed to play the full quota of 450 overs in the World Test Championship final to crown a champion. Chopra said that the world has waited for 2 years for this historic Test and argued there shouldn’t be an issue waiting for a day more. Aakash Chopra said it’s important to have a champion crowned and that 450 overs be played in the WTC final, which has been marred by the wet weather in Southampton. Two full days were washed out (Day 1 and Day 4) and only 141.1 overs have been bowled so far. WTC Final, India vs New Zealland Day 5: Live UpdatesMore Related News
