SRH camp sees a heated moment as Ishan Kishan gets a fiery send-off from teammate Zeeshan Ansari during an intra-squad match ahead of IPL 2026. Kishan has been named as the interim captain for the first few games for SRH.
Is there trouble in the SRH camp ahead of the IPL 2026 season? The intra-squad match on Saturday, March 21, saw a heated moment as the team's interim captain Ishan Kishan was given a fiery send-off by his own teammate Zeeshan Ansari.
The incident occurred in the eighth over of the SRH B innings with Kishan and Liam Livingstone in full flow. The wicketkeeper took apart Ansari for 20 runs before the spinner got the last laugh and dismissed the SRH interim skipper. While celebrations are usually muted during intra-squad matches, Ansari wasn't happy with the fact that Kishan went after him in the over and gave a fiery send-off to him.
Ansari was angry and kept signalling to Kishan to head to the pavilion and the pair exchanged a few words as well. Kishan was able to see the funny side of things and was laughing as he was making his way off the field. You can see the full video below:

While there was speculation on social media hinting at issues within the camp, it seems like it was just in the heat of the moment.
The match on Saturday saw both Abhishek Sharma and Kishan impress with the bat, giving SRH hope heading into the IPL 2026 opener against RCB. Abhishek, who struggled for form during the T20 World Cup, scored a quickfire 94.
