World Test Championship final: Former New Zealand captain Glenn Turner pointed out that India batsmen struggled during their 2-0 defeat last year and that the BlackCaps will be able to trouble Virat Kohli's men in the historic final in Southampton.
Former New Zealand captain Glenn Turner has said India batsmen, including their captain Virat Kohli, will struggle in the World Test Championship final if the conditions in Southampton favour swing and seam. Turner said India batsmen found it hard to negate the New Zealand pacers during their trip to New Zealand last year and it might not be very different if the conditions are similar. India take on New Zealand in the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. India are heading to the final on the back of emphatic series wins against England at home and Australia in Australia. However, India were whitewashed 2-0 when they toured New Zealand in 2020. The World No. 1 Test side managed to get past 200 only once in 4 innings with their captain managing just 41 runs in 2 Tests. The likes of Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee and Trent Boult made life difficult for India batsmen in conditions that favoured New Zealand.More Related News
