WTC Final: No opposition would like to see Rishabh Pant's face, says Sachin Tendulkar

Speaking to Sports Today, legendary Sachin Tendulkar said Rishabh Pant is much like Australia great Adam Gilchrist when it comes to dominating the opposition and helping swing momentum in his team's favour in a matter of hours.
Legendary India batsman Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday said Rishabh Pant is an X-factor for India in Tests and not many oppositions would like to face him in the middle. Speaking to Sports Today in the lead up to World Test Championship final, Tendulkar pointed out that Pant had been criticised for his approach, which at times looked 'irresponsible' but highlighted that each batsman has his own way of scoring runs. Tendulkar said he can see flashes of Adam Gilchrist in the way Rishabh Pant goes about his innings in Test cricket, highlighting the young wicketkeeper-batsman's ability to turn things around in favour of India in a matter of hours. "No opposition would like to see his face because when you know that the guy is capable of taking away the game from you within an hour and that is a bit like Gilchrist. He used to come at that number and backed himself," Tendulkar said.More Related News
