New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner has said that he could never play white-ball cricket for New Zealand and so playing in the WTC final will be like featuring in a World Cup for him. Wagner is part of New Zealand's dread pace trio consisting of Trent Boult and Tim Southee.
New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner has said that playing in the World Test Championship (WTC) final will be like playing in a World Cup for him as he hasn't ever featured in ODI or T20I matches in his almost 9-year-old international career. The left-arm pacer, who is currently prepping for the 2-Test series vs England, added that not making his debut in white-ball formats has been his "biggest disappointment". Wagner, however, is channelising all his focus on Test cricket, especially on the upcoming summit clash against India which starts from June 18 in Southampton. "Yeah, it is like a World Cup final for me. The biggest disappointment, I guess, in my career is that I've never really played a white-ball game for New Zealand or never been able to crack into the T20 or the one-day game," ESPNcricinfo quoted the 35-year-old as saying.More Related News
