World Test Championship final: Cheteshwar Pujara said the much-anticipated final against New Zealand means a lot to him and that a victorious outing in Southampton will certainly help boost the popularity of the longest format in the country.
Senior batsman Cheteshwar Pujara on Tuesday said India have worked hard over the last two years to reach the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship and it's quite like any other ICC tournament final. Cheteshwar Pujara, speaking to the press two days ahead of the final against New Zealand in Southampton said, it personally means a lot to him to feature in the World Test Championship final, considering he plays only one format of the game for the senior national team. Pujara, who has scored 818 runs in 17 Tests in the current cycle of the WTC, will be an integral member of the side when they take on World No. 1 New Zealand in the much-anticipated final. Pujara has been the backbone of India's batting order, especially in overseas tours. The No. 3 was integral to India's series triumphs in Australia in 2018-19 and 2020-21.More Related News
