Women’s group demands Scott Stringer drop out after second sex-harass allegation

A leading women’s group on Saturday called on Democratic mayoral hopeful Scott Stringer to drop out of the race in the wake of troubling sexual misconduct allegations made by a second woman against him, ripping him as “unfit” to hold the office.
“The mounting allegations against Scott Stringer are deeply disturbing. They reveal a pattern of sexual harassment and misconduct that should not be tolerated in any workplace, or by any person, let alone a public figure,” the organization, UltraViolet, said in a statement. “The accusations against Stringer, coupled with his deeply problematic responses to these accusations, demonstrate that he is unfit to serve as mayor of the largest city in this country,” the statement reads.More Related News
“The right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances,” is guaranteed right at the top of the First Amendment, but the folks in charge of The Washington Post see such action as profoundly sinister if the “wrong” people do it, or perhaps the paper’s problem is with association and communication for the wrong causes.
