CBC
A 66-year woman was found dead inside her home on Hudson Avenue in Montreal West on Sunday.
Montreal firefighters performing wellness checks due to power outages in the area over the weekend, found the woman unconscious at around 6 p.m.
At the time, temperatures were hovering at around –18 C with the wind making it feel much colder.
The woman's death was confirmed at the scene.
Montreal police were called to the home and determined there was nothing to suggest a criminal act.
The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are not known, including whether or not this weekend's intense cold and power failures played a part.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
