Woman charged with attempted murder after child allegedly pushed off balcony: police

A woman faces several charges, including attempted murder, after she allegedly pushed a child off a condo balcony downtown, Toronto police say.
Police were called on Monday after a young child was found on the ground near a condo building in the Front Street W. and Spadina Avenue area, a police spokesperson said in an email on Wednesday.
The child suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. They did not provide the child's age.
Police allege that the child fell to the ground after being pushed.
The woman, 33, of Toronto, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, administering a noxious thing with the intent to endanger life, and a parent not providing the necessaries of life, endangering life.
She was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
