The number of new COVID-19 cases in Ernakulam has soared to an all-time high of 3,980 on Wednesday. The test positivity rate is 23.74%. This is the second consecutive day that the district is reporting over 3,000 new cases and the day’s figure is the highest for any district in the State. A total of 16,759 samples were collected for testing. The district’s active caseload is at 21,855. The figure has risen by about six times over the past two weeks, when compared with the figure of 3,383 people under treatment in the district on April 7.More Related News
